Business First is a Business First — which means every penny we make above our costs goes back into Hartlepool. Not to shareholders. Not to executives. Back into the clubs, groups, charities and causes that make this town what it is.

When the Hartlepool Voluntary Development Agency closed in 2017 after 31 years, it left over 500 local groups without the infrastructure support they depended on. Business First stepped in — and hasn't stopped since.

Solar installations, EV charging, home energy efficiency advice and the HEET project — all funded by the surplus from our buildings.

Transport and access schemes

Wheels 2 Work, the Car Club and Get Connected — removing the barriers that stop Hartlepool residents accessing jobs, services and opportunity.

Based at the historic our workspace — originally the home of the founder of Camerons Brewery — we've transformed a heritage building into a thriving hub for businesses and community organisations alike.
